Yesterday I took Presley to the dentist for the second time in her life. Her teeth are nice and clean, but unfortunately, she has a "cross bite" that will require a retainer pretty soon in her life. Her dentist said that he usually does not see a cross bite in kids as young as P1. He also said that it is very treatable with a retainer to widen her top teeth. I told him that I had a retainer when I was growing up, and he informed me that teeth are hereditary. (Sorry about that Presley.) The good news is that I have always been told I have good enamel on my teeth, so hopefully she'll reach the age of 32 without a cavity just like her daddy did. Presley looked so small in the chair, and I noticed that her shoes did not even reach the area of the chair with the protective cover. I love my daughter with the crooked smile!
