I know I've posted a lot about Paxten's communicating skills lately, but she constantly amazes me, and communicating with her makes me so happy. Her newest thing, which has probably changed since I posted this, is to say "shut the door" after we put her to bed. The other night she was cracking me and herself both up though:
I had put her down and just left her room, when I heard Paxten scream loudly, "DA-DA.... DA-DA... DA-DA!"
Me: (I opened the door and went in her room.) Yes Paxten?
P2: Shut the door, Da-Da.
Me: Okay. (I shut the door and left.)
P2: Da-Da! Da-Da! Da-Da!
Me: (I opened the door and went in her room.) Yes Paxten?
P2: Shut the door, Da-Da. (She giggled after she said it.)
Me: Okay. (I shut the door and left.)
P2: DaDa!
Me: Yes Paxten?
P2: Shut the door, Da-Da!
Me: Paxten you're silly. It's time to go night-night though. Don't yell for me again. Go night-night, okay?
P2: Okay.
(I left, and did not hear a peep out of her the rest of the night.)
