Presley's Present
I picked up Presley from school the day after Valentine’s Day and she was coloring the picture above:
Me: Oh Presley, that is so pretty. Is this for Daddy?
P1: No, it's for mommy.
Me: But it's so pretty can Daddy have it?
P1: Mommy.
Me: Are you sure it's not for Daddy?
P1: Mommy.
Me: Presley, I have some veggie chips and a juice box for you in the car and you can have them if you give this to Daddy?
P1: Where is it?
Me: In the car.
(We get to the car; I load her in her carseat)
P1 (Seeing the veggie chips and juice box sitting on the center console): My veggie sticks, my juicey.
Me: Presley, who is this picture for?
P1: Mommy.
Me: Well then I guess you don't get any veggie sticks or juice then.
P1 (Blank stare at me for 3 long seconds): Here Daddy, I made this for you.
She got her veggie chips and "juicey," and I got my picture.
