In case you haven't been keeping up:
P1 told me she did not want to go to sleep one night several months ago, so I told her to “just rest.”
After that, every time that I would be leaving the room, she would ask me if she could "just rest" to feel empowered about going to bed.
Recently, she told me that she didn't want to “sleep or rest,” and so I told her to “just relax.”
In my post I told you that I thought she would be telling me soon that she doesn't want to sleep or rest or relax. Well that hasn't happened yet; however, recently when I leave the room she asks me if she can "just sleep," which cracks me up. We've been telling her to "just rest and relax" for so long now that she has gone back the other way, and she asks if she can "just sleep."
