Usual Antics

The other morning, I had Presley up and dressed early enough before school so she had time to watch 30 minutes of TV while I got Paxten up and dressed. (Lora was out of town.) Before I went to get Paxten, I asked her if she wanted some milk to drink while she sat on the couch and watched TV:
P1: Yes. Can you put it in a sippy-cup?
Me: Yes I can.
(I went to the kitchen and got her a sippy-cup full of milk.)
Me:  (from the kitchen) Presley?
P1:  (from the living room couch.) Huh?
Me:  I will give you this milk, but only if you can answer a question. Okay?
P1: Okay.
Me:  If you don't answer this correctly, you won't get the milk, so you have to get it right. Deal?
P1:  Mommy and daddy's girl.
Me:  What????
P1:  I'm mommy and daddy's girl.
Me: Why did you tell me that? Did you think I was going to ask you whose girl you are?
P1:  Yes.
Me:  Well you're right. Here's your milk.
(She was right. When Lora's around, she's mommy's girl. When Lora's not around, she's mommy AND daddy's girl. I think I'm getting the short end of the stick.)

I love my mommy AND daddy's girl who knows her daddy pretty well.
