Paxten has never been a fan of cow-milk, and every once in a while she will drink white grape juice, but that does not have calcium in it, so her drink of choice is organic orange juice with added calcium. Presley likes to mix it up between milk, water and white grape juice, but orange juice is pretty much the only think Paxten will drink at home. HAVING SAID THAT, the following conversation that took place between my two (2) year old and me last night is all too familiar right now, even when we're not talking about orange juice:
Me: Paxten, what do you want to drink?
P2: Orange juice.
Me: Orange juice?
P2: Yeah.
Me: Okay, orange juice.
P2: No, apple juice.
Me: Okay, apple juice.
P2: No, orange juice.
Me: Okay, orange juice.
P2: Yeah.
* Another common trend is that she'll want the parent who is holding her to put her "night-night," but she'll tell us she wants the other one, and then as soon as the switch is made, she'll change her mind and say, "no (mommy or daddy)," and jump back into the arms of whomever was holding her first. Yes, we know it's coming, but if we don't play along, you'll see a break down, and believe me, you do not want to see one of those.
