I hope this post finds that all of my blog readers are doing well and survived the storms throughout DFW today. At our house, the tornado sirens were going off, and I considered getting the girls, but after I turned on the news, I realized that neither our house nor the girls' school was ever in any type of danger as far as a tornado was concerned. When I went to pick them up; however, it dawned on me that there is a window in every room of their school, so I asked the receptionist what they did, and she told me that they hid in in the closets and bathrooms. I found out later that they had "story time" in the closets, but the teachers must have told P1 why they were in the closets based on this conversation that Lora and I had with her this evening:
Me: Presley! ! ! ! Did you hide in the closet today at school?!?!?!
P1: Yeah! We were hiding from the tomato storms.
Me: The what storms?
P1: The tomato storms.
Lora: What's a "tomato storm?"
P1: You know mommy, it's like a strawberry, but it's not.
(Presley honestly thought "tomatoes" were flying in the sky.) I love her!
