This is a follow up to yesterday's post about the two gymnastic girls. Presley said something to Charlotte that I thought was cute, but decided it would make for too short of a post; however, I keep replaying what she said in my head, and I've decided I want to remember it.
I let Presley chew gum when she is in the car with me. She knows not to swallow it and part of her favorite part about chewing it is that when she gets tired of it, I give her a piece of paper to put her gum in. It has to be bubble-mint flavored gum that is also my favorite or she doesn't like it. She also likes the fact that the gum has pink "sparkles" on it too.
Anyway, to my story. On the way to taking her and dear friend to gymnastics, she asked if she could have some gum. I let her, and I asked Charlotte, if she wanted some too, and she did.
(Irrelevant to the story is that later I realized that I don't know if Charlotte's mommy and daddy have ever given her gum before or not, but either way, she only had it in her mouth for 5 minutes, and then she spit it out, so no harm, no foul. Her mommy reads this blog, so she'll know now.)
So I gave Presley the gum, then I gave Charlotte the gum, and about 5 seconds into Charlotte chewing the gum, Presley looked over at Charlotte and said:
"Spicy, right?"
I don't know why I loved this so much, but I did. The bubble-mint flavor has a minty coolness to it, and I guess that is what she was talking about, but I loved that she called it, "spicy" and how she said it to her friend. Come to think of it, I love everything that girl does.
