Imagination And Sunglasses And Sugar

Part 1
Presley brought me a plate of pretend food that she cooked in her play kitchen wearing play oven mitts the other day.  The plate was complete with two different cups of "coat," (I think she meant coke even though no one in this house drinks soft drinks.) a strawberry and a block of cheese.  She told me if I eat it all, I can have the cereal with lots of sugar in it for dessert.  She was wearing some velcro sunglasses from when she was a baby tightly over her eyes, and I said, "Thank you for the food, but why are you wearing sunglasses?"
"So I don't get smoke in my eyes while I'm cooking."

Part 2
Speaking of sugar, the other day while Presley and I were at the grocery store, she really wanted some oreo cookies.  I told her that she could not have the cookies, but I would buy her some goldfish instead.
"But I want cookies."
"Presley, you can't have cookies.  They have too much sugar in them.  Too much sugar isn't good for you."
"But I can brush my teeth after I eat them."

I had to explain to her that when I said that sugar wasn't good for her, I wasn't talking about her teeth.  I thought this was funny though.
