Paxten Parker is a smart cookie.
She understands a lot of what her mommy and daddy tell her, INCLUDING, "Do you want to go to time out," to which she'll do a half frown and say, "no."
This past weekend, I was around Paxten non stop for 3 days, and Lora was gone this week from Tuesday to Friday afternoon, and I really can't believe how much Paxten knows/understands.
If you want to make her happy, just understand what she is saying. Sometimes it might not be recognizable at first, but with a few guesses, you can figure out what she wants and she gets so excited and happy.
When she isn't supposed to do something, she'll do it while she is saying, "no-no." As a matter of fact, her day care provider said that on Tuesday she was saying "no-push," while she was pushing down her classmates, and she spent a lot of time in time out because of it.
It scares me and cracks me up at the same time that she knows when she isn't supposed to be doing something, but she does it any way to test us time and time again.
