Back Up Camera

This morning as I was backing out of the driveway to take the girls to school, Presley was watching my back up camera:

P1:  Daddy, look, all of the houses are white on that screen.

Me:  They aren't really white. The sun is shining on the houses, and in the screen it looks white.

P1:  Why does your car have a screen to show what's in back of you?

Me:  It's a back up camera so I can see behind me to make sure I don't hit a kid or a dog or anything else that might be behind me.

P1:  Yea, if you hit a kid, it would hurt really bad.

Me:  Yes, but I also don't want to hit anything else. If I hit a tree that would be bad too.

P1:  Yea because then your car would be leafy all over.

(THAT cracked me up! ! !)
