Spring has sprung in North Texas, and I guess winter never really came this year.... not yet anyway. Sunday was a gorgeous day, but unfortunately, Lora was not feeling well, so I had an afternoon to myself to entertain the girls. The easiest thing to do was set up the bounce house and let them play in it. Here are a few tidbits and pictures from that afternoon:
Last year when I would set the bounce house up, I remember the girls only playing for about 15 minutes, but Sunday they played very well together for over an hour, and then we spent another hour picking up (and counting all of the balls one at a time while they brought them to me), and putting the bounce house away. (There were 101 balls +/- 1 ball).
P1 was jumping in a dress. She dressed herself.
P2 was jumping in her pajamas that she still had on.
P2 liked to climb out of the bounce house, and while she was sliding down the slide, say, "help me daddy" because she could not get in on her own. I quickly put an end to that by teaching her how to do it and telling her that I was not going to help her any more. She figured it out.
The conversation of the day was between P1 and me:
Me: Presley, you and Paxten played in the bounce house for a long time. Do you remember last year when I would set the bounce house up that you would only play with her for a little bit? She's older now so she can play a lot more with you. Wasn't that fun?
P1: Yea. Last time she was boring.
Me: (ha ha ha) What did you say? Last year she was what?
P1: Boring.
Me: Well she was still pretty young.
(I have no idea how she knows what boring means.)
