Body Language

Direct line from P1's favorite movie, "The Little Mermaid:"

Sea Witch:  I'm not asking much, just a token really, a trifle. What I want from you is your voice.

The Little Mermaid:  But without my voice, how can I-

Sea Witch:  You'll still have your looks, your pretty face, and don't underestimate the importance of body language.

Direct line from P1's conversation with me last night as I was reading "The Little Mermaid:"

P1:  What's body language?

Me:  It's when you talk to someone with your body. Here let me give you an example. (I waived to her.) What did I just say?

P1:  "Hi."

Me:  Right. Let me give you another one. (I nodded and pointed in the direction of the the door with my head.) What was that one?

P1:  You're telling me to, "come on."

Me:  That's right. Good job Presley.

(She was lying in bed on her back and started kicking one of her legs up. At this moment, I didn't think anything of it. I just thought she was being an active kid while we were talking.)

P1:  Did you know what I just did?

Me:  No?

P1:  I wanted you to say, "ceiling."

I cracked up. I love that little girl and her sister soooooo much!
