Swimming Lessons

P1 and P2 are taking swimming lessons during the month of May. P1's are M, W at 5:15 and P2's are T, Th at 5:15. It'll be a busy May for their daddy. Here is a picture of P1 before her lesson this week. She is the only four year old in the class. Most of the kids are five and six, although there is a seven year old. She's good, but she plays a lot. I think her swimming is every bit as good as the majority of the kids in the class, but she does not really listen or pay attention to her instructor. The age difference does not hurt her in swimming, but it hurts her in her ability to be a student. Think about it. Every other child in this picture is in formalized school that requires children to pay attention. In the picture she is the only one who is wet because the instructors told the kids to sit on the side and wait for the class to start, but Presley decided to jump in on two different occasions on her own! The first time the instructor picked her back up and put her on the ledge, but the second time, Presley quickly jumped in, and then immediately jumped back out before the instructor could do anything. Presley got a "look" for it from the instructor in front of her. This cracks me up. Hopefully she'll learn something from it because so far, they've just been playing games. I love my misbehaving mermaid!

P1 is the second from the left.
