Paxten likes to play a game that neither Lora nor myself like. She likes to stand up on her kitchen chairs and say "hiiiiiii!" and waive with the biggest grin on her face. It is soooooo cute and sweet, but the problem is that she is standing on a chair. Every time she does it, we tell her to "sit down," and the second we do, she sits down again with a smile on her face. It is a game to her, but it scares me to death, and I don't like it. I tried yelling "NO!" very forcefully to her, but then she just starts crying and it breaks my heart. So I started taking chairs away from the table so she couldn't do it. Here is a picture of her standing up in her chair. I didn't like it, but I wanted to document it. Notice the chair behind her that I have already put up, but of course, she got in the other chair. The morning after I took this picture she was standing in her chair again, and her foot slipped off and she fell off to the side of the chair on her back. Her head did NOT hit the ground, but it scared her. I'm hoping she won't do it any more. Furthermore, I had a vision of what could happen if her chair fell backwards out from under her and she fell forwards and hit her head on the table and it scared me to death. So you can enjoy this picture all you want because she is not standing in her chairs any more on my watch or Lora's watch. If she even starts to get up, the chair is gone. It isn't worth the risk, but she sure is cute when she is getting in trouble. I love her.
