Presley at Poppy and SuSu's House

During the month of July, Presley stayed at my parents' house every Sunday night and Monday day.  On the Saturday night before the last Monday in July, I also stayed at Poppy and SuSu’s house with Presley and Paxten.  That night Poppy read Presley two stories before bed and told her that she could “read” another book that he would leave with her before she went to bed.  That is until I regulated.
It was late and Presley will stay up later if she has a book in bed with her, so I took it away from her, which she did not like.  After I calmed her down and left the bedroom that she was sleeping in, she called me back into the bedroom about two minutes later, and this is what she told me:
“Daddy, I haven’t stayed at Poppy and SuSu’s house by myself for a very long time.  Can I stay by myself tomorrow?”
That cracked me up.  She said something else to that affect two more times before Paxten and I went home on Sunday.  She knows that she isn’t the boss when daddy is around, but that’s the way it should be.  I’m her loving, caring, nurturing daddy, and it is my job to make sure she is the best that she can be, which includes getting as much sleep as possible.

Now here is an email from my mom of events Sunday night when daddy wasn’t around:

We got back from the Reunion and R was going to read Presley a book.  It was late and so R said he would read her 1 book.
Presley: "No, 3 books."
R: "I'll read you two books."
Presley: "No, 3 books."
R: "No, 2 books; it's late."
I was in the kitchen and she came in there and said:
"Susu - Poppy won't read me 3 books."
Me: "Well, it's late Sweetheart.  But you can read the 3rd book yourself in your bed, after Poppy reads you the other 2."
Presley: "OK"
Then after R read her the 2 books and gave her the 3rd to read herself, Presley said, "I want you to read this to me."
R: "No Presley, that wasn't the deal.  You read the 3rd book."
Presley (in her whiney voice) - "But I don't know how to read...."

I love my girl and that she loves being at her grandparents’ house.
