Petting Zoo

On Sunday we bundled up the girls (sort of) and went to the Thomas The Train exhibit in Grapevine.  It was cold and windy and the highlight for the girls was the petting zoo with rabbits, ducks, chickens, goats and a miniature pony/horse.  Paxten was pointing to everything and saying what I thought was "down," but Lora let me know later that it was "duck."  At one point I set Paxten down on her two feet so she could walk and she immediately fell back into my arms so I would not let go of her.  She was scared of all of the animals.  So I got on my knees and got next to a soft, friendly rabbit and grabbed Pax's arm and started moving it closer and closer to the soft rabbit so she could pet it.  Well, the closer her hand got to that rabbit the louder her scream got until she pet the rabbit and started crying.  Her cry quickly stopped when I scooped her back up in my arms.  I always enjoy doing things for the girls only... even if I'm cold.
