Word Of The Day

de·lay[dih-ley]

–verb (used without object)

to put off action; linger; loiter: She delayed going to bed by asking her daddy lots of questions.
After I read P1 a story (or 3) it is often very hard to leave the room if she isn't ready for me to leave.  She will ask a lot of questions to delay me.  Usually, I'll leave at least twice only to hear a "daddy" calling me back in her room to ask me something.
The last question most times is "Daddy can I just rest."
On Monday night she had a new one for me, and it was so random because we hadn't been talking about the subject at all that it just cracked me up:
(I leave the room)
P1:  Daddy?
Me (walking back in the room): Yes Presley?
P1:  The next time I see Santa can I ask him how he gets on top of the houses?
