"Yesterday" and "tomorrow" are very hard for Presley to understand. She uses "yesterday" to mean anything in the past and "tomorrow" to mean anything in the future.
For example, she told me last week that she fell in the toilet at Pam's house "yesterday," but she hasn't stayed with Pam or seen Pam in almost 12 months.
She also always asks if she can do something "tomorrow."
"Can I have a blueberry pop tart for breakfast tomorrow?" Of course she can.
"I will turn 4 tomorrow." Um, not quite.
She is definitely trying though and sometimes it works perfectly:
P1: Daddy, do we have school today?
Me: Yes, Presley.
P1: Mommy said I don't have to go to school until tomorrow.
Me: She told you that last night. Today is tomorrow.
P1 (puzzled look on her face): Oh.
Also the other night we ate a friend's restaurant, and he was not there, but instead his mom was working. Presley likes both he and his mom. The following day we went to lunch with him at a different restaurant, and the first thing Presley said to him when she saw him was, "Why were you not at your store yesterday?" I thought it was awesome.
