Here are some pictures of our first "child" Cady Lou Parker. Cady has a lot of significance in our life. First, you'll notice her first name comes from Lora's maiden name, and you may also notice that Paxten's middle name is “Cady” as well. (Although Paxten is named after her mommy and not her dog.)
Cady was a gift to my wife one week before we got married. Since Lora was about to lose her last name, we thought "Cady" would be a good name for a new puppy. Since then, we have wondered if we would have used "Cady" for one of the girls’ names if we had not already used it on our dog. "Cady" would have been a good name for a girl, and we have two of them so far. (Please do not read too much into the "so far" comment, thank you.)
Cady is almost perfect. Most Jack Russell Terriers are "not good with young kids," but we could not have been luckier with Cady. She is the sweetest dog. She is a big fixture in our girls' lives. One of Paxten's first words has been "day-dee." The other day Paxten dropped some food on the floor and she yelled for "day-dee" to come get it. Presley and Paxten have hit her, kissed her, pulled on her, grabbed her, tickled her, etc., and she has never bitten either of them. She may leave the situation to get away, but she would never hurt them. We got very lucky when we got such a sweet-good-natured-good-with-kids dog.
I love the four girls that let me share this house with them!
