Carnival

Last week, I took Presley to a carnival while mommy stayed home with a sick Paxten.  We followed our neighbors, the Everlys, Charlotte’s mom and dad, because the fair was at the place where Charlotte goes to school.  On the way there Presley saw the ferris wheel and got very excited.  As I said, we were following the Everlys, and we went a back way to get to the parking lot.  In route to the parking lot, Presley could tell that we were no longer driving towards the ferris wheel, so she told me to “go straight.”  I told her that we were following Charlotte’s mommy and daddy because this is where Charlotte goes to school.  As soon as I said it, I knew this was coming from Presley:

“Charlotte has a ferris wheel at her school?  Can I go to Charlotte’s school tomorrow?”

It cracked me up.

While we were there, Presley rode every ride she could, including the paratrooper with her daddy, which was her favorite.  The paratrooper is pictured above, but we are not in that picture. I just wanted to give you an idea of what it looked like because I was surprised that she wanted to do it, and even more surprised that she liked it.  She kept telling me she wanted to “go to the top.”  She wanted to ride the ferris wheel also, but it was closed due to high winds.

I enjoyed the evening at the carnival with my daughter.  I love my I-wanna-ride-the-paratrooper-with-daddy-but-I-won’t-go-down-big-slides-sometimes daughter.
