Blanket Paxten

Tomorrow we are celebrating Paxten Parker’s 1^st birthday, which was actually last week.  Due to this, there won’t be a post tomorrow because we will be getting ready for the party and cleaning up, etc.  There might be a post late Sunday night about the event with pictures, but we’ll see.

So since we’re celebrating her birthday tomorrow, I thought I would tell you about how much she loves her blanket in the morning, but since a picture is worth a thousand words, I’ll just show you some pictures.

When Paxten Parker wakes up in the morning, the first thing we do is lay her on her changing table so we can change her diaper.  I don’t know how this got started, but unless you give her one of two very specific blankets and lay them on her, she throws a fit, and I mean a fit!  I’ve added 3 pictures below.  The first one is I-just-woke-up-happy-Paxten with her blanket.  The next two are what happens when you take the blanket away for two quick pictures.  Let me make myself very clear: these pictures are all within 10 seconds of each other.  The only difference is I pulled her blanket off to take the picture.  I regret that I had to take it away from her (twice) for the purpose of taking some pictures for this blog, but I really thought it needed to be documented.  She will also get upset if you give her any other blanket.  Like I said, it has to be one of two.  They look different, one is blue and one is pink, but the only difference is the pattern.  As long as she has either one of these lying on her chest in the morning, she’s a happy girl.  I love my temper-tantrum-when-she-doesn't-get-her-blanket-Paxten!
