When She Wants Something. . .

Paxten likes to point at things she wants just before she lets out a very loud scream/squeal.

. . . Paxten Parker will point and scream at the top of her lungs.  I'm serious.  She sounds like a squealing pig.  This is her main form of communication.  It is funny and cute, but she has learned that it works, which means she has also started doing it all the time.  On top of that, I thought she had pain in her ears because of the fits she has been throwing at bed time, but the doctor assured us on Wednesday that her ears are fine.
Wednesday night she was throwing a fit while mommy was holding her in her rocking chair for bed time, and Lora said, "You think she's in pain? Pick her up."  So I picked Paxten up from Lora's arms, and the second I did it, Paxten stopped crying.  She has been playing us for 2 weeks now, and it has made bed time very challenging, but luckily for us, she has the best parents in the world, and we’ll figure it out.  We’re on to her game now, so that’s a step in the right direction.

I love my little communicating 1-year old, even if it is with a squeal! ! ! !
